Misogyny
Misogyny – from the Greek misos, meaning “hatred,” and gynē, meaning “woman” – hatred of women, or woman-hatred.
Misogyny refers to behavior, characteristic of some men and women, that is expressed in contempt for, hostility toward, or hatred of women. It may manifest itself either as a negative attitude toward women in general, or as hostility toward certain psychological or physical traits culturally associated with femininity, which may be expressed to varying degrees in different women.
