Sex Identity
Sex identity – in certain psychological and sexological approaches, an individual’s awareness and perception of themselves as belonging to a particular sex category. The concept refers to a person’s identification with a sex category and is closely related to, although not necessarily synonymous with, gender identity (Devor, 1993).
