Phallocentrism

Phallocentrism – a term from the psychoanalysis of Jacques Lacan denoting a patriarchal symbolic order in which the phallus is positioned as the sign of privileged masculinity, in contrast to femininity, which is excluded from the symbolic order.

In feminist writings, the term is used as a stronger synonym of androcentrism.
