Gender Sensitivity
Gender sensitivity – the ability to understand and take into account the sociocultural factors that underlie discrimination on the grounds of sex and/or gender.
Gender sensitivity involves recognizing how gender norms, stereotypes, roles, and power relations may produce unequal opportunities, unequal treatment, or exclusion in different spheres of social life.
