Hermaphrodite
Hermaphrodite – an outdated and potentially stigmatizing term historically used to refer to a person described as having reproductive organs or sex characteristics associated with both male and female categories.
In contemporary scholarship and public discourse, this term is generally not used as a neutral designation for human beings. It is preferable to use the terms intersex people, people with intersex traits, or people with intersex variations.
