Non-sexist child-rearing – an approach to raising children that does not impose or reinforce the gender roles and stereotypes prevailing within a particular sociocultural context.
For example, a child’s choice of toys, clothing colours, activities, or playmates is not restricted to those conventionally regarded as appropriate exclusively for their sex or gender.
