Gender Division of Labour

Gender division of labour – the distribution of labour, roles, and responsibilities between women and men in society, the family, and the economy.

The term is broader than gender segregation of labour, which refers more specifically to the uneven concentration of women and men in different professions, sectors, or hierarchical levels of employment.
